So as Music by Mandi sets out to enter the world of songwriting blogs and singing blogs, we found it helpful to check out some great songwriting, singing, and performing blogs that currently exist and see what people are talking about! Three songwriting blogs stood out to us specifically because of what they are writing about and the creativeness in which they present their awesome ideas. Songwriting is an art and a much different process for every songwriter out there, so finding other people who can relate their material to everyone is difficult. We found our three favorites below:

- Voicewize is a team of experts in voice and speech, and also a place to attain some amazing singing lessons from Barbara Arboleda! They are located in Dedham, Massachusetts and I highly recommend checking out their website and services they offer. They also run a blog that posts regularly about singing, voice therapy, guest posts, and also interviews with some cool peeps! Definitely check it out :)
- Songwriting Scene is a very creatively presented blog written by Sharon Goldman that has some really relevant posts about the creative processes and where to find songwriting inspiration from. Some of her most popoular posts that we LOVED are The ABC'S of songwriting and 5 simple song starters. If you are looking for inspiration on how to write a song you have got to check these posts out! Sharon is a regular writer and we look forward to seeing some of her next topics!
- The Songwriters Blog is perfect for songwriters looking for some quality advice on how to increase exposure or help with finishing that song! Caroline is an amazing writer for this blog and I love the content they put out. Be sure to subscribe and check them out!
- Educated Songwriter is another one of our favorite songwriting blogs to follow, and they recently just wrote a great post about how to step outside of your songwriting comfort zone. They have a lot of useful content on how to build your songwriting persona, and different approaches to take when writing. We love all the different ways they present their ideas, and it is definitely worth checking out and subscribing too!
- Organizing sound is a great site written by John Mumm which has an awesome section on recording exercises. It has a few posts driven towards recording for beginners and we loved some of the techniques John wrote about to drive your recording sessions. If you plan on laying down some of your songs and recording them, definitely check out Organizing Sound.
- Gary Ewer has some great content to read in his blog posts and also available for download. If you are a songwriter and looking for some solid techniques to advance your music and perfect your songs you really need to head over to garyewer.wordpress.com to read Gary's great content!
- MySongCoach.com is run by Robin Frederick and has some GREAT tools and blog articles on how to write a song, tips from great hits in the modern music world, song starters, and even videos. One of our favorite articles on Robin's site is about setting your songwriting goals. We highly recommend checking out this site and the content there!
We love these blogs and we hope you will too! Feel free to comment below on your opinions and what you liked about these three songwriting blogs, we hope to build some content here at Music by Mandi that these three sites will enjoy as well!
